There are 14 Safe Havens across the borough, places to support women and girls who feel threatened, vulnerable or scared when they are out and about. They are also open to anyone that needs temporary help.
Both of our fire stations are Safe Havens, meaning you can get help from Harrow and Stanmore fire stations, which provide a free, confidential space if you need it. We’re proud that these are the first fire stations across London to offer this kind of support.
Simon Horn, Borough Commander for Harrow, says “Harrow Borough London Fire Brigade is proud to support the Safe Haven initiative. Working in partnership with this scheme enables us to contribute to the safety of our community, particularly women and girls, who have been identified as needing this support”.
