The Body Shop on St Anns Road, Harrow opened its newly refitted Activist Maker Workshop store today (28th July 2022). This global brand known for its eco-credentials and their stance on sourcing sustainable and ethical products, uses surfaces that are manufactured from 100% recycled materials and reclaimed wood that was initially destined for landfill to minimise its environmental footprint.
Customers can purchase a refillable aluminium bottle and fill it up with their choice of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash. When empty simply bring back the cleaned bottle, which can be re-filled over and over again. Using this initiative the company is looking to save around 25 tonnes of plastic a year.
The Activist Maker Workshop store team are on-hand to help shoppers with expert advice, makeovers and demonstrations. The store features brand new sinks where customers can try products before they buy.
