Largest game of singing:
‘If You're Happy and You Know It, Clap your hands’
This record is for the greatest number of people to take part in a game of 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands' simultaneously at one venue/location which will be St Anns Road, Harrow, HA1.
By registering, you are agreeing to attend on the agreed date and time and commit to taking part fully in the activities in the lead up to, as well as the attempt to break a Guinness World Records Title.
You are responsible for your own well-being and any risks in taking part.
Young children may take part as long as they are fully able to participate to sing/play without assistance.
No player may receive assistance in playing the game.
When the game/singing starts you will do your best to follow the leaders and take part to the best of your ability.
If you cannot attend for any reason you will let us know as soon as possible.
For the purposes of this record, 'If you're happy and you know it' is defined as a children's game where people sing a rhyme starting 'If you're happy and you know it...’, followed by an action to complete to 'show it' e.g. clap your hands. The song then repeats and can include different actions.
The number of people who are hoping to constitute the record must all be well versed in the lyrics and choreography of the game.
All participants must be singing and doing the moves simultaneously for at least 7 minutes with the full participation of everyone involved. This needs to be done so that the record is clear for the number of people actually participating and not just the number of people attending the event.
Participants may be in a single line, any number of lines or in any other formation.
Only persons present at the venue at the beginning of the attempt may participate in the event.
At a given signal, all participants are to begin the game.
The organisers must demonstrate that all participants are playing throughout the attempt.
Disclaimer – if we don’t have 1,200 people by 1st October, unfortunately, we will have to cancel the event. The £5 is non-refundable and part will still be donated to The Wish Centre charity.
