For the last decade the Met have been so grateful for the generosity of Londoners who have helped provide children, who may have otherwise gone without, with presents to open on Christmas morning. Together, providing over 116,000 Christmas presents to children in need.

In 2020, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Christmas Tree Appeal went online to make sure everyone involved was safe. Thanks to the amazing efforts of our Christmas Tree Appeal partner The Childhood Trust £155,500 was raised and saw 21,998 presents donated.

This year nearly 17,000 children (aged from birth to 17 years old) need a gift. These children come from many different backgrounds. Many live in poverty, in refuges or are child carers, and some live in children’s homes. The one thing they all have in common is that they are all children in need living in London.

Thank you for your generous support of our appeal for the last 10 years. Please help us make this anniversary a special one, ensuring that all these children wake up to a present on Christmas morning.
