The Government has now announced new measures designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus, including closing shops, leisure venues, and banning social gatherings. Clcik here to see the full announcement.

Many shops in the town centre are now closed, except for those selling food or medicines. Please see our Facebook post for the latest updates. Please note businesses that are open may have reduced hours so please check before you leave home.


Cafes, pubs and restaurants must close from this evening, except for take-away food, please check directly with the particular outlet before coming to the town centre.

Nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres to close as soon as possible.

Harrow Libraries, Harrow Arts Centre and Headstone Manor Museum have closed their doors until further notice.

Wash your hands more often than usual, especially when you:

▶️ Get home or into work
▶️ Blow your nose, sneeze or cough
▶️ Eat or handle food

These actions will help you protect yourself and others.

You are advised against travelling unless it is absolutely necessary.

If you do have to travel, check the TfL website for the latest information as there are reduced Tube and bus services as well as some station closures.

If you develop a new continuous cough or high temperature,

▶️ Do not leave your house for 7 days from when your symptoms started

▶️ You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation.

▶️ If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, contact NHS 111 online or call NHS 111.
▶️ In an emergency dial 999
▶️ Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
