Bake a Difference

Posted 13th Nov 2018

Lawrence Grant held a fundraising coffee morning called ‘Bake a Difference’ on 10th October to coincide with World Mental Health Day. Working with the Young Harrow Foundation, staff generously gave their time and baked some delicious cakes to sell. They also received donations from local bakeries Miriam’s Munchies and Faley Cakes.

They raised an amazing £1,000 including match funding by Lawrence Grant’s Partners. The Big Give also pledged to quadruple the figure, so an incredible £4,000 was raised in total which will fund 3 local projects investing in mental health and wellbeing – Flash musicals, Centre for ADHD & Autism Support, and Harrow Carers.

Paul Said - "I was overwhelmed by, not only the support I had within our firm to be involved in the event, and make a cake, but by the constant stream of people here within our building who took the time to come & buy from us, helping raise such an unbelievable sum of money. The charity also made some new connections and an opportunity to spread the word about the great work they do. We plan to continue working with the charity in 2019 to look at other fundraising ideas to tie in with our 50th birthday celebrations."
